Has a very good way of explaining and illustrating what your problem is and also what are the alternative trearments. Give you confidence in any action which could effect you always The eye photos were explained which helped appreciate what had to be done This was the first time in 69year that I have had treatment in a hospital and throughout believed that the opperation would be a success because of Mr Carrims approach Overall I was very pleased with the approach and treatment give by Mr Carrim

I see Mr Carim once a month for bilateral eye injections of Lucentis. If it wasn't for Mr Carim's empathic approach to to my eye problems, I wouldn't know be in a position where my vision has greatly improved. Mr Car in has always treated me as an individual & gives me clear informed choices. He listens to me without interruption & doesn't talk down to me. I now only get nervous just before he does the injections. I wish all Doctor's had the same approach to their patients. I give Mr Carim 1,000,000% rating

A charming man, very informative who listens and explains.have had 4 consultations and find him reassuring. I am unable to make constructive suggestions relating to Mr Carrim, since I am totally satisfied with the treatment I have received. My only complaint relates to attending appointments for a SCAN only which did not require eye drops, and to which I could have driven. After pointing this out to Mr Carrim, I have been able to have both scan and consultation in one visit. I only wish all doctors/consultants were as polite, pleasant and competent as Mr. Carrim with whom I can find no fault. William R. Jepson

I have been having treatment since January for a serious eye condition which I didn`t realise at the time was life changing!! The service provided by Dr Carrim and the staff of St James. was professional, caring and understanding. His concern for patients and their individual needs is obvious and I was told in laymans terms about my condition and treatments which was very helpful. After several operations my eye problem has now been repaired to a standard better than was hoped all thanks to this Doctor and because of this I felt an obligation to write and to say a big`Thank You`. I even learnt `Dr speak`,when a doctor says to you`this might hurt a little bit`,you have to hang on to something solid and grit your teeth !!!! On a serious note I spend a lot of time overseas, especially in third world countries who don`t have a Health Service to speak of,so to the people who always seem to want to knock the NHS I will say that you obviously have never had a serious health condition and just don`t realise how lucky you are to have NHS facilities available to you. Thanks to this Doctor and the staff of St James hospital Leeds I can now get my life back on track,I think that says it all.
